Mounjaro experiences – how’s it going after the first few months?
I’m really tempted to try Mounjaro because nothing else has moved the scale for me in ages, but I’m nervous about committing long-term. Heard it can be more effective than older options, but the side effects sound intense at first (nausea, weird burps, feeling wiped out). For those who’ve stuck with it past the starting doses, did the bad stuff fade? And is the weight loss still happening steadily after the quick early drop?

I’ve been on Mounjaro for 8 months now, up to 10 mg – lost 19 kg total and it’s still coming off at a decent pace (0.7–1 kg most weeks). The first 1–2 months were the worst: pretty bad nausea, those rotten-egg burps if I ate anything rich, and low energy that made workouts hard. I went super slow on titration and ate smaller, blander meals – that helped more than anything. By 5 mg the worst was mostly gone. This write-up someone did about their full journey is spot on for what I dealt with, especially the dose increases and side-effect workarounds https://www.medsforless.co.uk/mounjaro/ It’s not zero effort (still tracking calories loosely), but the constant hunger/cravings basically disappeared, which was the biggest game-changer for me. Worth it if you’ve tried everything else, but prepare for a rough start.
